SEO actually stands for Search Engine Optimization. This means correcting or optimizing a website for search engines. SEO is the process of increasing the amount of search traffic to a website through various methods i.e. free and organic search results. It just sounds complicated and time consuming as well as changing knowledge and skills. It is a simple process that anyone can use to rank any of their websites by just learning basic SEO. SEO involves a lot of work done on a website to help search engines find the pages and posts of the website easily and to index and store that content. First, it is important to understand search engines.

Search Engines:

A search engine is an answer machine for any question you may have on the Internet. In which you can easily find your content or query. For example, if you want to know the prices of laptop brands in London, you can enter laptop prices in London with (laptop price in London) as your query and keyword. There are many search engines operating in the internet world, among which Google, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Bing, Yandex and AOL are the top. Like that, Google is the most used search engine of world. Many people think of Yahoo as just a mailbox, but Yahoo is also a search engine. Queries of any kind in the turn of content on search engines play a role in finding them from the search engine’s record library on the internet and presenting them to you. Search engines are the librarians of the Internet world.

It would not be wrong to say that search engines act as librarians in the internet world. It also has an obvious role in indexing, which you do by adding code to your XML site through SEO. By which any content can be searched in clear state.

Page Indexing:

In order for any content to appear in search engines, the content must first be indexed by search engines. Search engine optimization helps to index the content on your websites on search engines. With the help of this, the search engines maintain their mass by sorting and ranking the content in the website. And then displays that content on the Internet in response to your query by sorting and categorizing it.

This entire process is called indexing. Among these indexing tools, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools are the most prominent.

Search Engine Optimization and Ranking Factor:

Search engines have developed many rules for accessing pages and posts on websites, understanding their content, ranking and storing them, and then showing you those results. These are called SEO factors or search engine ranking factors. SEO & Indexing both have relationship with each other. Search engines change them over time. There are two main types of Ranking Factors those are involved to rank your website in 2023:

On-Page Ranking Factors:

On-page factors are controlled by the publisher itself and are under its own control. It involves optimization of content, pages and posts. In this you can easily control the content itself, all the technical aspects of the website. As for what kind of content you publish, what HTML tags are you providing? It includes all kinds of content settings to help users and search engines adapt. On-page SEO is done by the publisher while on their website (means work that done on your website).

Off-Page Ranking Factors:

Off-page ranking factors play a role in establishing the relationship between two or more different websites. These factors cannot be directly controlled by the publisher itself. In this, the website ranking is determined by the backlinks from the website to another website. Off-page SEO refers to activities that are performed outside of your website. Which the publisher itself cannot do, but some other publishers refer to a patch or post of your website by creating a backlink on their website. This pusher can do it themselves by building their own backlinks on social media, but it’s still an off-site process.

Search engines cannot rely entirely on on-page factors because they are entirely within the publisher’s control. For all types of rankings, links to other websites are an important tool in determining rankings. But having more links is not beneficial unless they are of good quality. So good quality backlinks are one of the essential factors for good website ranking.
